When you purchase a city guide, we collect your email address and payment information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

Your email address is used to verify access to purchased guides. We may use it to communicate about your purchase. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use a functional httpOnly cookie (lr_access) to verify guide access after purchase. This cookie is scoped to thelocal.report, persists for one year, and contains a purchase verification token. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 may set cookies for analytics purposes. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Third-party services

  • Stripe processes payments. Their privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data to help us improve the site.
  • Railway hosts our application. Their infrastructure handles request data.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact thegoodsend.co@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not sell your personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act or similar state laws.

Data retention

Purchase records are retained to verify guide access. We do not delete purchase records unless required by law, as they are needed to provide ongoing access to purchased guides.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users via email within 72 hours of discovery.
